Join us for a 4-day Intensive Baji Quan Combatives with Miika Wikberg from Finland
Bajiquan, practical combat principles
The theme of this workshop will be the underlying principles of combat usage for Baji Quan. The workshop suits anyone who is interested in the practical usage of Chinese martial arts and is designed for Baji Quan practitioners from any lineage, who want to deeply examine the practical usage of their art.
We will mainly be working with techniques and principles from Baji Quan’s first form Xiao Jia, the six big openings, Liu da Kai, and Piguazhang the chopping arm method. We will also cover the basic standing pole exercises and other basics of Baji Quan, and more importantly their relation to practical combat usage. The sessions will be physical with plenty of partner training, and theory will be integrated during drills.
If you are new to Baji Quan you will get a strong grasp of the basics and usage to continue your practice after the workshop. If you are a seasoned bajiquan practitioner you will get a deeper insight into the practical side of bajiquan.
